PMAY 2.0 New Affordable Housing Guidelines Benefit 50000 Families

The updated Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana guidelines expand eligibility criteria and increase subsidy amounts, making homeownership accessible to more middle-income families in Pune.

Expanded Eligibility Criteria

The revised PMAY guidelines increase the income ceiling for Middle Income Group (MIG) categories. MIG-I category now covers families earning up to ₹12 lakh annually, up from ₹9 lakh previously.

Enhanced Subsidy Structure

Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) now offers up to ₹2.67 lakh interest subsidy for eligible beneficiaries. The subsidy calculation is based on a maximum loan amount of ₹9 lakh for EWS/LIG categories.

Pune-Specific Implementation

Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has identified 15 new areas for affordable housing development under PMAY 2.0, focusing on locations with good connectivity to employment centers.
